so this last week has been kind of a cop out. usually i draw at work and bring the sketches home either that day or on friday to scan and post. if forgot them at work this past few days. so the past drawings (except for the figure drawing) had been done this weekend. sorry.

i like the forced perspective in this drawing. i need to get better at drawing the head/neck area.
in any case, its a decent drawing from a pretty off night of figure drawing.

this is the first time in my life when the 2 big parties have completely different (both philosophically and visually) candidates. Both are fun to draw. Obama has this long thin body, huge smile and ears and large flat spatula hands. On the other side, McCain has a huge jaw/chin area, a large round forehead and the stiff and stout body.
I'm still probably going to vote independent, though.

In keeping with the July 4th theme, I recently found out about the Jefferson Bible.
Jefferson was a deist and refused to believe in any supernatural aspects of the Judeo-Christian religion. Thus he removed all supernatural aspects of the New Testamentand was left with a much more narrative work on Jesus' life. It's also supposed to be much more focused on the philosophy of Jesus rather than miracles.
It's really quite interesting.
