In keeping with the July 4th theme, I recently found out about the Jefferson Bible.

Jefferson was a deist and refused to believe in any supernatural aspects of the Judeo-Christian religion. Thus he removed all supernatural aspects of the New Testamentand was left with a much more narrative work on Jesus' life. It's also supposed to be much more focused on the philosophy of Jesus rather than miracles.

It's really quite interesting.
